after working for 2 days as brochure distributor, i have come to many conclusions.
1. don't ever think that caucasians are the most friendly people in town.99.9% of them will reject your flyers,
2. foriegn workers are will always take ur flyers,despite that fact that they don't understand a single shit.
3. always remember that ur flyers will be high in demand during raining days.you don't have to even give them, some will be desperate for them.
4. be prepared to meet unusual people.i have met people who told me he needs ALLOWANCES, and the funny thing is he is smoking and drinking super big gulp at the same time.another unusual case was when a lady came forward and talk about Christianity with me.She even gave me a new name.She said i'm supposed to be called DAVID.nvm, she can just fuck off.oh ya.she even offered to let me work in her travel agency.i was happy initially.but she said. " there won't be any salary boy, but i will pay for your lunch and dinner." and she carried on saying that dunno what spiritual food is more important and stuff.then she asked for my religion.i said i am a buddhist.Then she said " buddha is just an indian prince, when he saw the light of enlightment, that ray of light is JESUS" she told me to stop praying to buddha and don't enter her office if i pray to buddha everyday.she claimed that her office is too holy.what pissed me off was that she said that buddha is just a stone. and for that ... she can fucked off again.her office is HOLY SHIT. dun ever insult other people's religion.nvm, i believe in karma
5. don't try to give the same person ur flyers when u see them the second time.Most of them would not take them again.
6. never reveal ur basic pay.for my case, since mine is 6.50/hour. people start asking me where to get this job.
7. dun ever think that giving flyers is easy.trust me. u tend to say vulgarites softly when u meet people who don't even give a damn about you.not even a slightest indication that they are not interested.
but of course.i do meet nice people who offer to buy me lunch.and people who will offer u FREE food.majority of the people are nice i would say.there are exceptions.like those i mentioned just now.
